Budleigh Salterton Under-16s enjoyed smooth passage into the next round of the Exeter and District Youth League KO Cup with a 4-0 home win over Okehampton Argyle, writes SpursTom.

The hosts got off to a good start with Will White firing them to an early lead. Throughout the first half both teams were fighting for the upper hand in the midfield battle.

The hosts eventually edging further ahead with a decisive strike from the dangerous Ryan Daffin and half-time arrived with the Robins sporting a 2-0 lead.

After the break it was the visiting side that made the brighter start and on no fewer than three early second half occasions, home goalkeeper Ieuan Brockway came out on top in one-on-one situations with an on-rushing opposition attacker!

Tactical changes had to be made to enable the Robins to restore control forcing Argyle unto the back foot.

A third goal duly arrived when White beat first defenders, and then glovesman, to tuck the ball home. Minutes later the woodwork denied the excellent Daffin a goal before the fourth and final one, which was scored by Ryan Fell following some good approach play down the right.
