Preparations are well underway for Axminster Drama Club’s production of Robinson Crusoe.

For many weeks now members of the club have been busy making costumes, learning lines and dance routines and everything else that goes into one of ADC’s famous pantomimes.

A spokesman for the club said: “Thanks to the artistic talents of Jackie Demkiw and Heather White, this year’s scenery will be particularly colourful and creative with brand new backcloths featuring a not so deserted island, a large and not so stable ship with their usual humorous touches.

“The scenery alone is going to be well worth the ticket price.”

Tickets will be on sale as usual at the Archway Bookshop, Church Street, Axminster after Christmas with performance dates being Thursday, January 19 to Saturday, January 21, with a matinee on the Saturday.
