Two new events – aimed at ‘helping people to get connected to what’s going on in Cranbrook and to meet new people’ – have been launched.

Both involve food and drink at Cranbrook’s café and pub.

Tea Tuesday is at the @143 café on the Younghayes parade on Tuesdays at 10am.

Wine Wednesday is a similar idea, at the Cranberry Farm pub on Wednesdays at 8pm.

Both initiatives have been launched by the Reverend Lythan Nevard, of Cranbrook’s Cornerstone Church.

“The idea behind both is simple,” she says. “If you don’t know many people yet, or wonder what there is in Cranbrook, then your friendly neighbourhood vicar is happy to talk about community groups and upcoming events, and learn more about you. My promise is always that I won’t talk religion, unless you want me to.”
