Beautiful Days Festival revellers pulled out all the stops, with a host of colourful and creative costumes, dressing as pirates, mermaids, sailors, fish and crustaceans and a host of seaside treasures, embracing the festival’s 2017 Rock the Boat theme.

Beautiful Days revellers laughed in the face of the rain to party hard over the weekend.

The popular Levellers’ family-friendly music festival, held at Escot Park, near Ottery St Mary, boasted a packed line up, promising something for everyone.

Friday’s headliners Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott belted out old favourites from Paul’s time with the Housemartins and when they were with the Beautiful South, plus the duo’s new hits.

The line-up also included Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, The Sisters Of Mercy and Alison Moyet.

Keeping with tradition the Levellers headlined on Sunday night, bringing the award-winning festival to a close for another year.

Ignoring Sunday’s day of rain, festival-goers embraced the Rock the Boat theme, dressing as pirates, mermaids, sailors, fish and crustaceans and a host of seaside treasures.

Beautiful Days, organised by DMF Music, hosted seven stages, site art, children’s area, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars and food and craft stalls.
