South West bike racing fans are in for a treat this coming weekend (October 14 and 15) when the annual Beach Race weekend takes place at Weston-super-Mare.

The Saturday action sees the combined quadracer and sidecar event take place and the following day it is the main solo races that take centre stage with the first racers off at around noon, though the exact start times are very much dependent on the tide!

Amongst many of the specialist riders on show will be the British Moto-X champion Graeme Irwin, Irish star Martin Barrs, Isle of Man Enduro ace David Knight and TV personality Guy Martin. Racing on both days can be seen from 9am and there are excellent spectator areas for fans to take in the thrills – and spills – of beach racing.
