Honiton Running Club (HRC) members took part in the Otterton Reindeer Run, writes Judy Davey.

This is a mainly off road 10k route and with many runners wearing Santa outfits or dressed as elves, it is a very festive affair.

Ben Stone was first back for HRC coming third overall in 38 minutes 27 seconds after taking several wrong turns.

Rod Inglis was next back coming 20th male in 43:15 followed closely by Mark Newson who came 23rd in 43:41.

The final male runner was Sam Pollard who came 38th in 48:18. Emilie Tones was first lady back for HRC and 6th lady overall. She finished in 47:54 and was followed by Paula Ferris who was 11th lady in 51:18.

Asilah Jarrald was 49th in 60:06, Clare Melbourne and Janice Newson ran together coming 62nd in 62:55.

Once the runners had finished the festive theme continued with runners being treated to a cup of mulled wine and a mince pie served in a souvenir mug.
