Archant

Saturday week (October 13) is football’s National Non League Day and Exmouth Town will be participating in the event which sees clubs outside the professional realms of the game under the spotlight.

That day Town are hosting Elburton Villa in an FA Vase tie and the Southern Road club are hoping to attract non league supporters and any football supporter to see what non league football is all about. Indeed, the Town game is included in the national non league match finder at www.nonleagueday.co.uk/map.html

So far this season, high-flying Town have enjoyed amazing growth in their home support!

Last season the average gate at Southern Road was around the 100 mark and already this season that figure has risen to 150 – and it’s growing!

The last round of the FA Vase saw Town draw a ‘season’s best to date’ of 180 and hopes are high that the next round will see that topped – who knows, perhaps a 300 plus crowd at Southern Road is really just around the corner!
