Cranbrook Youth Football Club are beginning a new season of weekly coaching and Saturday matches.

Stephen Bampton is the person driving the club, one that was established in 2015 with Stephen having spent the six previous years as manager and coach with other clubs.

The first Cranbrook team was an Under-11s that operated with a squad of 12 to 14 players. Since those early days, and in a short space of time, Cranbrook Youth Football Club has grown to be now running, for the season ahead, teams at Under-8, Under-10 and Under-15 age levels. There are currently 50 youngsters involved with the club attending weekly training sessions each Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7pm. The training, and matches, take place on the football pitch at the primary school on what the club likes to refer to as ‘St Martins Stadium’. The club is certainly well staffed in terms of coaching and additional behind-the-scenes folk and some seven coaches provide the weekly coaching. There are already a number of sponsors involved with the club, who also recently received some help from Kia and also a local mechanic. The club is always keen to work with potential new sponsors. One area that the club is keen to get some sponsorship help with is the purchase of a new match kit, training kit and additional coaching equipment. Anyone who feels they can help is asked to make contact with the club either via their Facebook page or email them at

Last, but certainly not least, the Cranbrook Youth Football Club is always happy to welcome new youngsters and initial contact with the club can be done through the channels mentioned above.
