Those looking to shed some pounds as one of their new year resolutions could be in luck, as a Slimming World group is set to open in Cranbrook this month.

The first class will take place on Thursday, January 30, starting at 7.30pm in the Younghayes Centre.

The weekly classes will be run by local mum Alison Burford, who joined Swimming World and went on to lose more than two stone to become a healthier and fitter mum to her daughter, Freya.

“I couldn’t believe the amount of food I could eat and still lose weight,” said Alison. “My consultant reassured me that I could still eat normal food and I love the fact that as a family we enjoy unlimited chillies, curries, steak and chips and pasta with plenty of fruit and vegetables, all without counting, weighing or measuring.

“I can still enjoy my treats like a glass of wine or chocolate every day. I am never hungry and my friends can’t believe how much I eat.”

Those interested in joining Cranbrook Slimming World can call Alison on 07773 382707.
