Police confirm names of bodies found at house near Honiton

Police have confirmed the identity of the two bodies found at a house in Dunkeswell as Michael and Nicola Beck.

Devon and Cornwall Police have now finished the formal identification of the man and woman whose bodies were discovered at Abbey Mill Farm.

An investigation was launched after the bodies of 62-year-old Michael Beck and 52-year-old Nicola Beck were found by police on Wednesday, January 4.

Officers attended an address in Dunkeswell at 11.40am following concerns for the welfare of a man and woman at the premises.

On arrival officers found the man and the woman, who were husband and wife, deceased. Next of kin were informed.

Detectives launched an enquiry into the circumstances surrounding both deaths which are being treated as a domestic related murder and suicide.

Detective Inspector Steve Davies, from the major crime unit, said: “We are not looking for any other person in connection with this isolated incident and can confirm that no other person was present at the premises at the time of this incident.”

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
