Events have been held in Cranbrook to raise funds for Martin Stokes, the toddler, who – as we have previously reported in the Cranbrook Herald – has a terminal illness.

October was ‘Martin month’ for the Cornerstone Cranbrook Baby and Toddler Group. Their efforts raised nearly £600 to support Martin and his family.

Weekly proceeds were boosted by cake sales, plus cards to buy, balloon models and photo shoots.

Mums have also been on the run to raise funds.

On Friday, November 3, 14 Cranbrook mums ran 5k after dropping their children off at school. The run – a circular one-lap route around Cranbrook – was organised by Laura Taylor to raise awareness of Krabbe disease, which Martin has. The runners raised £78.18 for the toddler.
