EDDC elections: ‘Budleigh Boys are back!’

Budleigh Salterton residents have elected Tories Alan Dent, Tom Wright and Steve Hall - who declared: “The Budleigh Boys are back!”

It was a close-run battle as Mr Dent netted 1,817 votes, Mr Hall got 1,841 votes and Mr Wright netted 1,681 votes.

Defeated candidates were Nick Barton, of the Green Party, with 1,244 votes, Les Cotton, of the Independent East Devon Alliance, with 1,525 votes.

There was a turnout of 77.1 per cent in the ward.
