Honiton was lit up with festive lights and colour as its annual Christmas carnival rolled into town.

Honiton mayor Caroline Kolek led the illuminated procession, accompanied by her husband Stephen and Honiton town crier Dave Retter, with the famous man in red closely following behind.

Majorettes from across the region helped bring some extra energy to the procession, which saw many collectors dress up in festive attire as part of the carnival fun.

Earlier in the day, youngsters from 1st Honiton Scouts held a fair at the Mackarness Hall, selling an assortment of cakes and craft goodies to visitors, raising £350 from the event.
